2020 Gift Guides
It's somehow December and the holidays are just around the corner in a year that has at times moved slower than a snail's pace and also seemed like it never really happened at all.
This happens to be the 10th anniversary of this little blog of gift guides (where does the time go?)! It's an annual tradition that I always look forward to as I file away ideas throughout the year.
Gift Guides: Something More
When buying a little bit bigger gifts, I typically think of the types of things I would like to receive: useful, unusual or something I wouldn't buy for myself. Here are a handful of things that caught my eye to give (and get) this year.
Gift Guides: Something Little
It's a typical practice in my family to forego the larger gifts and focus entirely on stocking stuffers, there are so many fun odds and ends out there that make me love this snack-size approach to holiday gifting. Below are a number of mini-gifts that caught my eye, appropriate for stockings or for single gifts to co-workers, friends and family alike. Also don't forget airline liquor bottles, fancy chocolates and a traditional orange all are welcome additions to the below.
Gift Guides: 2019
What a year it has been! Certainly no less busy than the last and featuring some banner highs (re: finally becoming homeowners!) and challenging changes (re: moving from said house across the country to work on a campaign). We are more grateful than ever for our friend and family support network and the top thing on our list this year is rest, family and relaxation.
Gift Guide: What's on D's List
Finally a last minute list of D's wishes and wants for 2018. A few replacements and a lot of new below. Plus, since we all know who wrote this, I probably don't need to say that I'd be the happy recipient (or co-recipient) of much of this as well.
Gift Guide: What We're Giving the Guys
Just like the girls guide post from earlier this week - here are a few of D's favorite things mixed with items we couldn't resist for all of the dudes on our list. Also, to be honest, I'm a huge fan of everything here and think many of the ladies in your life could appreciate these gifts as well.
Gift Guide: What's on My List
Dear Santa - please accept the following list of wishes, some extravagant and some practical that make up my list this year. Many of these are repeats, products I own, love and need a refresh on. Others are things I've had my eye on for a while and am convinced that I need. Maybe you or the people on your list need them too.
Gift Guide: What We're Giving the Girls
Although I love seeking out fun and unusual gifts-for my closest friends and family, I often turn to things I own and love. It seems like there's a better chance of success with something tried and true than a gamble on something new. So what follows is a list of a few of my favorite things with some new additions for the ladies on your list. Consider this a 'no-fail' set of daily luxuries, travel necessities and small treats that you may also want to gift yourself.
Gift Guides: 2018
It probably feels like these weren't going to happen this year - at least that's how I've been feeling. 2018 has been busy, not in the usual "How are you? Oh good, busy" sense, but in the truly all-in, no down-time, all travel, all-the-time sense. My biggest wish for 2019: more time with friends and family.
Gift Guide: The Bon Vivant
He's not about to let anything get in the way of a good time. The life of every party, a lover of the finer things and, of course, your ride or die. Treat him this holiday with clever gifts and little luxuries that promise fun to come.
Gift Guide: The Bebes
Little angels or total devils, they've stolen our hearts and yours with their endless antics. Whether for newborns, toddlers or grade-schoolers, give Santa a hand with gifts for growing minds and big imaginations.
Gift Guide: The Westerner
She is an old soul, more than a bit bohemian and independent to her core. You can find her dreaming of open plains, mountain valleys and colorful deserts where her vibes are most at home. Whether her Joshua Tree life is a reality or not, give her gifts this year that celebrate her wild heart and endless sense of wonder.
Gift Guide: The Executive
Whether she's already in charge, or well on her way, this woman has hustle. Not just a #girlboss, but the boss, leading the charge in the boardroom and beyond. Celebrate her this season with gifts that have serious style but don't fall short on function.
Gift Guide: Van Life
An adventurous wanderer with an enviable instagram account. It seems like he's always hiking, surfing, or cooking in otherworldly campsites all while collecting all the best footy of his free-wheeling lifestyle. Here's an assortment of holiday gifts to keep him kitted out on the road and off in 2018.
Gift Guides: 2017
Our Christmas tree is up, carols are on the radio and I'm eating cookies like it is my full time job. As rough as we were feeling at the close of 2016 - 2017 proved that things could be worse (collectively). It's been a doozy of a year and the holidays feel like a welcome distraction from tweets and turmoil (tweets of turmoil?). So, as is the custom, gift guides are headed your way over the next few days.
Gift Guide: The Milkshake
Sugar, spice and everything nice. Here's a list for all of the little treats in your life.
Gift Guide: The Paloma
Exotic, tangy, a little bitter and when made with mescal (my preference) a bit darker, heady and smoky. This is your free-spirit drink best found on a bohemian beach. Treat her this holiday with otherworldly presents that celebrate her wild and free approach to life.
Gift Guide: The Gin & Tonic
Smart and sharp, a polished professional our Gin & Tonic drinker is classy and refreshing with a very orderly view of his world. Spoil him this holiday with gifts that elevate his workplace attire or provide additional comfort to his much needed evenings and weekends off.
Gift Guide: Rosé all Day
She's trendy, chill, always dry and just a little sweet. The fun and festive friend who always has an angle on the next big thing. Celebrate her cheerful persona with gifts that get the party started.
Gift Guide: The Whiskey Sour
The perfect counterpoint to the Old Fashioned - a Whiskey Sour is sweet but not without it's namesake tang. Loyal and reliable, a classic charmer.
Gift this drinker with treats that suit her tastes - heirloom and homespun. Make sure that winter finds her warm and cozy with a few quirky touches.
